"Look man, we want to do something different - something that screams - US..." As soon as I heard those words - I was sold! I knew I was in for something special and beautiful and I was right. Tons of details from Jumps bowtie to all natural decorations at an amazing Ranch Kurilovec (and trust me - it is amazing and gorgeous). Having the opportunity to become Ranch Kurilovec wedding photographer came just in right time. I've been looking at this amazing location for some time now, and once Gustav called me and told me the venue, I was sold!
Two beautiful souls, a drummer and a wannabe guitar player. Two hardcore superheroes on a mission to save all the cats possible, to have best times of their lives on Ferragosto Jam, listening to underground punk, old-school classic rock and metal music, to live their vegan lives according to their feelings and to love each other for eternity. After the first phone call I had on idea we were going to click the way we did! Honestly, living a life of destination wedding photographer has given me insane amount of life-long experience, friendships and discovering that life doesn't have to be boring or mediocre. With just a pinch of creativity and some good will you can make your big day personal and special.
This was my first time shooting a Ranch Kurilovec Wedding and it was an experience for a lifetime. Music totally to my liking, every detail personalised to the fullest, totally casual dressing, and newlyweds to remember for entire life. And who did all the details? That's the beauty of it - Zvijezdana and Gustav themselves. No wonder it was all done perfectly to fit their styles and personalities - they knew exactly what to do.
Today I am proud to call Zvijezdana and Gustav my friends, because in a world full of princesses - they dare to be Wonder Woman and Deadpool <3

Booking a destination wedding is a special privilege for me. Having a client willing to bring you abroad to become their personal Villach wedding photographer in my mind means I am doing something right.
Doing destination wedding photography always brings additional challenge, hence pride you see when we do one and see satisfied clients, however this one had additional factor that made things easy. Theresia is austrian, but Emir is bosnian, and loads of his friends and family came from Tuzla to Villach to testify this moment of joining this wonderful human beings into holy matrimony.
Therefore there was no possibility in any way, shape or form for this wedding to be anything but fun! Finally, if you add the fact that the bend Jazz Banditen is mostly consisted of serbians living in Austria you just couldn't go wrong.
I was nothing like photographers they saw before
Their words, not mine but you can only imagine the way I felt when they told me <3 Due to me being outspoken, open minded and talkative by nature, having fun while shooting this wedding was an easy task for all of us. Bringing them my favourite craft beer from Croatia was spectacular idea and help to get their juices going (in case you were wondering - that beer would be Zmajsko Pale Ale - if you haven't, I highly recommend you try it - it's wonderful), consequently the image of them drinking beer in a park in the very city center of Villach (I guess now may be proper time to mention that they are big beer lovers :) )
In conclusion I would like to add that a mere 3 hours drive from Zagreb my dream began to fullfill itself and this is yet another step closer to me photographing a wedding in Swiss Alps. My dream of becoming a true destination wedding photographer started with me firstly becoming Villach wedding photographer.

2 internet warriors, but 1 amazing love story! They met online, she's a pole dance instructor, he an ex-footballer. They both love watching movies under the blanket, nibble on Canaan chips and drink beer :).
With them being so laid back, we clicked immediately, over a pint of course :). They love story started 5 years ago to very date of the wedding. They met over a couple of mutual friends, had several meet-ups, walks and beers and it all started/ended with a trembling question by Vedran "Where are we now and what do you want from this".
Many love stories have magnificent history and grandeur, but sometimes - less is more! Such is the story of these two where he proposed dead-tired of her birthday party next to kitchen sink in her apartment <3
If I had any doubts (which I didn't) coming into this, it was all gone the very second we met for their engagement session on Ranch Kurilovec very close to Velika Gorica. We had an amazing time together, totally relaxed, emotional, romantic and loving. And guess what - they were totally natural in front of camera! :)
Working with them was nothing short of pure pleasure, and the second we started working together I knew I had new friends for life <3 Having a tractor on a session was just a bonus :) I guess Velika Gorica has tons of surprises for us in store - can't wait to go back there as soon as possible <3

Couple of weeks later - in came their wedding day. It was an amazing sunny day, they were anxious to see each other, but Karmela's brother in law had some tasks for Vedran and his best man before he can take Karmela once and forever! With a little help from his friends, they managed to resolve the task and start their life together. <3
So many emotions, so many thoughts, yet so few words to describe the way I feel about these people. I hope images speak more than I can, and I sure hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed spending time with these amazing and beautiful young souls.
BTW - They had me at - we love beer! :)
At the very end, I have to thank you for sticking with me in this post and give one last, but huge shout-out to Nikon Professional Partner Canosa ! I've been really privileged to have them lend me Nikon Df for testing purposes. I'm not going to bore you with gear and tech, but am going to say that that piece of equipment is stellar!
